Brian W. Benson
Senior Vice President
Brian Benson is a Senior Vice President with Carlisle Tax Credit Advisors and oversees the low income housing tax credit business line which includes investment due diligence and advisory services to corporate investors. His responsibilities include client service, project management, acquisition due diligence, asset management and investor reporting.
Mr. Benson brings over 10 years of affordable housing real estate experience. He spent over 9 years at Boston Financial Investment Management where he was responsible for the fund management of 25 multi-investor and proprietary funds for the firm’s institutional investors. He was responsible for developing and implementing strategies to manage and mitigate risk and to preserve investor benefits, while also maximizing investor yield. During Mr. Benson’s tenure at Boston Financial, he was involved in the origination and ultimate management of the firm’s first opportunity zone funds, due diligence gathering for the third-party sponsor review and due diligence of secondary transactions.
Most recently, Mr. Benson worked at TD Bank and was responsible for the management of the Bank’s LIHTC portfolio with various syndicators. He also managed all the Bank’s LIHTC dispositions that were either past the credit or compliance period, with the goal to maximize residual proceeds while mitigating risk.
Mr. Benson received a Bachelor of Science in Business from Sacred Heart University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
